The Funky Glebe Markets, Sydney

The Glebe markets reflect the character of the area. A little bit more organic, home-grown, and hippie than your average market, but that's a good thing. It's Saturday markets Glebe style!

There are a good number of vintage clothes stalls, as well as some serving great food. In addition you'll find "a lively trade in second-hand goods, records, furniture, arts, crafts, jewellery and bric-a-brac".

The organisers also make an effort with live music which adds to the fun atmosphere.

The markets run from 10am to 4pm each Saturday and are located on the corner of Derby Place and Glebe Pt Rd. Glebe.

While you are there be sure to take a stroll down Glebe Point Road which has lots of interesting shops.

If you want to make a day of it start off at the markets. Then wander down Glebe Point Road stopping at any shops which take your fancy.

When you get to Bridge Road turn right and keep going until you reach the Sydney Fish Markets.

Then buy yourself a big pile of fish and chips and wander home with a satisfied grin!
