Fri 2 - Mon 5 October (October long weekend)

Celebrate all things Latin at Fiesta: Australia's hottest dance and music festival with all the rhythm and passion to rival Rio!

Get ready to rumba with FREE performances by more than 70 top Latin bands and dance groups, dance classes, DJs and Latin-inspired food over three days and nights this October long weekend.

Now in its 18th year, Fiesta is Australia's largest Latin American festival featuring high-energy Latin American bands, salsa and tango experts, Brazilian Carnivale girls, sultry flamenco dancers, capoeira masters and much more!

Highly-acclaimed, double Grammy winners Aterciopelados (Colombia) and exclusive to Fiesta, Bailatino (Venezuela) will perform in Australia for the first time and some of Australia's hottest Latin performers, including I Like it Like That Orchestra, Club Havana Band, Mi Tierra, Watussi and Gonzalo Porta, will turn up the heat across three stages in Darling Harbour.

World salsa champions Luda Kroitor and Oliver Pineda, tango master Fabio Robles and other dancers from So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars will also perform over the weekend.

Learn to salsa on the huge alfresco dance floor at Palm Grove then show off your moves at Fiesta Nights in the evening at Harbourside Aquashell.

Latin American and Spanish food will spice up Tumbalong Park throughout Fiesta. Sample regional specialities including traditional paella, tacos, enchiladas, empanadas, tapas, Colombian coffee, Spanish churros and Argentinean alfajore cookies.

Take a short break from dancing and enjoy the flavour of a Latin American market along the Urban Stream. Shop for Inca jewellery, Peruvian ceramics and tapestries, Artesania leather goods, Cuban CDs and South American football merchandise plus much more.

Fiesta fireworks will light up the sky on Sunday evening as Mi Tierra and DJ Dwight 'Chocolate' Escobar take the stage.
