If you don’t want to spend this spring/summer season looking like a fashion victim then you must get down to the
Rocks Markets this weekend.
To celebrate the start of spring, the much-loved Rocks Weekend Market is having a makeover. For the first time ever, The Rocks Square will host a fashion event,
Frocks and Rocks, which will showcase the designs and wares of stallholders.
A number of great Australian fashion brands and designers got their start at markets around Sydney (think
Lisa Ho,
Tigerlily,
Sass and Bide,
Dinosaur Designs), and fashionistas know that markets are an important source for cutting-edge fashion. Not only will you be supporting up and coming designers, you might one day end up with a highly desired piece in your wardrobe!
The Frocks and Rocks fashion shows will take place every hour between 12pm and 3pm in The Rocks Square on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. The first parade on both days will showcase the latest children’s wear and the following three parades will feature adult fashion and jewellery.
