( Use any cut of meat: Rump, Porterhouse, Rib Eye, Sirloin).
An easy one that will take only 10 minutes to prepare and is always a success is to combine 1 cup red wine with ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon mustard. You can also add chilli sauce, tomato or barbecue sauce to taste. Allow meat to marinate in the fridge for several hours or overnight for maximum flavour and tenderness.
The marinated rump steak or beef strips are great cooked on the BBQ or grill or if strips, in a stir fry. Store any excess marinade that you don’t need in the fridge ready for your next BBQ or stir fry!
Easy Steak Marinades:
Italian Marinade
Italian salad dressing (vinaigrette style)
Garlic clove, chopped
Onion, chopped
Salt and Pepper to taste
Garlic Soy Marinade
1 tbsp. garlic salt
2-3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. tomato sauce
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. pepper
Tangy Marinade
3/4 cup salad oil
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 mashed clove garlic
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Citrus Marinade
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 dashes ground cloves
